Luis Miguel Rios
Luis Miguel Rios has designed and successfully deployed business analytics tools for supply chain and commercial operations supporting over a thousand users. His background includes projects for demand forecasting, supply chain planning and optimization.
Prior to joining End-to-End, Luis Miguel was a Business Intelligence Specialist at Kimberly Clark, with assignments both in the United States and in Peru. He designed and implemented analytics toolkits used across the corporation. The designs consisted of dashboards presenting relevant KPIs for operations and highlighting opportunities of improvement. He belonged to the New Technologies team, which introduced the latest technologies into Kimberly Clark’s portfolio of tools. Earlier in his career, Luis Miguel was a post-doctoral scholar at Carnegie Mellon working on derivative-free optimization applications (especially for drug discovery) and at Exxon-Mobil developing optimization software to support upstream research.
Luis Miguel holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru (Lima, Peru) and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Luis Miguel now serves as an adjunct professor of operations and supply chain management at ESAN Graduate School of Business in Lima.
