Cindie Wu has successfully modeled & deployed process improvements in the manufacturing & distribution and healthcare arenas. Her projects have ranged from structuring global repair networks to improving process efficiency within the four walls of a single facility. Detailed data analysis and supporting tools have been a common thread in her work.

Cindie’s supply chain management projects span a range of applications. As a summer associate at the RAND Corporation, Cindie evaluated the robustness and reliability of the U.S. Air Force’s repair facility network, applying techniques to better account for uncertainty. As a co-op student with Estée Lauder, she addressed shop-floor efficiency of automated packaging lines. On the healthcare front, she developed a Monte Carlo simulation to study mass prophylaxis in the face of a bioterrorism threat. And she applied detailed data analysis as well as conventional business process reengineering techniques to improve patient scheduling in a university research clinic.

Cindie holds a B.S in Operations Research and Information Engineering from Cornell University and an M.S. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. She is currently on leave from the Ph.D. program at Stanford.
