Tim Kwan is an experienced business consultant in the areas of supply chain management, analytical modeling, forecasting, and process improvement. He has led results-driven analytical projects across multiple industries, including pharmaceuticals, energy, manufacturing, and consumer packaged goods.
In each of his engagements, Tim has executed data-driven analyses and provided custom decision support tools necessary for sustained success. As a consultant to mid-to-large size pharmaceutical companies, he conducted forecast accuracy and sales force allocation analyses. At the utility company PG&E he led a comprehensive evaluation of an internal materials supply chain that resulted in greater resiliency and cost savings through key operational changes. Tim has also worked with a national ice cream manufacturer, where he analyzed inventory management strategies to reduce usage of costly outside storage facilities.
Tim holds a B.S. and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley. Tim also holds the distinction of being the inaugural winner of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences' open "Spreadsheet Guru" contest in 2012, besting a field of entrants from around the world.
