Kevin Olivier has hands-on experience building sophisticated statistical models and applying them to a wide variety of industries, from processed food to finance. He takes care to empower users by developing intuitive and powerful analytical tools.
Kevin’s background, being at the border between operations research and data science, has enabled him to build experience in both supply chain management and data analytics. On one end of the spectrum, he helped Amazon design its last-mile delivery service, sizing the infrastructure needed for the Bay Area as well as prototyping an internal platform to track packages. At the other end of the spectrum, he created a new model based on the most recent machine learning algorithms to segment loan applicants for Prosper Marketplace, one of the top players of the fast-growing peer-to-peer lending industry. He also previously worked for Nestlé Purina to analyze large marketing data and identify new market opportunities. And he worked for consulting group KPMG to create a data-driven customer relationship management tool to improve and streamline sales performance.
Kevin has a B. Eng and an M. Eng in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the Ecole Centrale Paris in France and an M.Eng in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley.
