Georg Schorpp has worked on supply chain projects in the high tech, automotive, and manufacturing industries. He has a keen interest in solving business problems using analytical methods, statistical modeling, and optimization.
Georg has tackled a wide range of problems related to optimal ordering policies for spare parts, inventory management for perishable products, and strategic production planning. Georg maintains a research interest in supply chain contracting under supply risk with invisibility and has presented his work at numerous conferences. As a side project, he also co-developed a scientific information search engine for academic research papers.
Georg holds a Diplom in Business Engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, an M.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a Ph.D. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University.
