EJ Tavella has nearly two decades of strategic management and supply chain consulting experience focused on sales and operations planning, integrated business planning, demand planning, supply planning, and system strategy. EJ’s work has supported a diverse set customers from Fortune 50 to high growth start-ups in the high tech, consumer electronics, consumer goods, food and beverage, oil and gas, and process chemicals spaces.
EJ was a founding member of Steelwedge over a decade ago, where he helped to build the leading cloud-based sales and operations planning solution. EJ ran many teams in his years at Steelwedge, including sales, pre-sales, consulting, and product management. Prior to Steelwedge, EJ founded a consulting company focused on supply chain process optimization supported by offshore custom software. He sold, staffed and delivered solutions for leading firms including Hewlett-Packard, Red Envelope and Yahoo! EJ also held management roles at BIGWORDS where he oversaw a multi-source, multi-million SKU distribution supply chain. EJ began his career as a management consultant with Ernst & Young, working with customers on business strategy, process optimization and system enablement.
EJ is frequent speaker at supply chain events. He holds a B.S. in Finance from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
