Dave Chang is a seasoned business consultant, framing business problems and setting strategy for business executives through a data-driven analytic approach. He is an experienced mathematical modeler with substantial experience across diverse business domains (supply chain, forecasting, logistics, pricing and revenue management), methodologies (optimization, simulation, Bayesian decision making, and statistical models), and platforms (Excel/Access/VBA, client-server, and web-based applications).
Dave has structured and led consulting efforts in supply chain network design, inventory control, forecasting, logistics, and pricing as an analytical business consultant on the Strategic Planning and Modeling (SPaM) team at HP. Prior to that work, Dave worked in software development in the ocean container transport industry, developing cross functional decision support tools for determining the optimal cargo mix, asset utilization, inventory, scheduling, routing, and pricing.
Dave holds a B.S. degree in Management Science from MIT. He also holds an M.S. in Engineering-Economic Systems and Operations Research and a Ph.D. in Operations Research, both from Stanford University.
Dave serves as an adjunct professor of Operations Research at the Santa Clara University School of Management and at Stanford's Department of Management Science & Engineering.
